HIGH GEAR is the newsletter of Hayward Rotary Club. It is one of the longest-running serial publications in Hayward. The first issue was released when the club was founded in 1922, and it has been published on a weekly schedule ever since. HIGH GEAR newsletters contain the official minutes of our weekly Club meetings, information about current events in and around Hayward, updates on the Club's many service projects, reviews of our weekly keynote speakers, photos and appearances by local personages, and much more. The pages of HIGH GEAR offer an extraordinary chronicle of Hayward history going back nearly a full century. The historic archive of back issues is housed at Hayward Public Library. Recent issues are available for download on this page, along with selections from the archives.
