The Art of Balancing / The Amazing Race

Jon Weiss and his wife Laura have been circus performers for over 25 years. Known to many as “Iron Chin,” Weiss began balancing objects as a childhood hobby, and developed it into a professional entertaining act. Demonstrating his ability to balance an array of diverse objects, his act progresses though an assortment of items, increasing bouts of strength and stability, ultimately concluding by balancing a 16-foot stepladder and a tandem bicycle. His show includes behind-the-scenes interactive pre-shows for children of all ages in the center ring. Twenty five minutes prior to each show the children get to try their hand at juggling, hula hooping, balancing, clowning and much more.

Weiss appeared on the reality TV show "The Amazing Race" in 2003, the show's fourth season. He and friend Al Rios competed together as a team, finishing fourth out of 12 teams. "It was an incredible experience,”​ says Weiss of the show.
