Economic Forecast 2018: "The Booming, Glooming US Economy"

Christian Roessler is an Associate Professor of Economics at Cal State East Bay, Director of the Master's Program in Economics, and Interim Director of the Smith Center for Private Enterprise Studies. Previously, he taught at Brown University, the University of Vienna, and elsewhere in the US, Europe, and Australasia. Dr. Roessler has published on game theory and political economy in leading journals of the discipline. He grew up in East Berlin, and now lives in Pleasanton.

The full title of Mr. Roessler's talk is, "The Booming, Glooming US Economy: The Good News About Now and the Questions About Later." His talk will feature a summary of the current state of the economy, information about current economic data and prospects, and discussion of longer-term challenges such as the debt crisis, health care, social security, and income distribution.
