California Airways - Aviation in Hayward

Susie Amaro is the Co-Owner of California Airways, based at the Hayward Executive Airport. Ms. Amaro coordinates marketing and special events for the company, including the popular Aerocamp for students in grades 9-12.

California Airways is the San Francisco Bay Area's oldest flight school and flying club. Since 1953, California Airways taught thousands of pilots how to fly through its affordable flight training and aircraft rental for pilots of all experience levels, California Airways offers training from student pilot through ATP ratings. The Airline Pilot Programs take a student from zero flight time through the commercial single and multi-engine certificates, plus all three flight instructor ratings.

California Airways is a FAA-approved Part 141 flight school, and sponsors international students for the M-1 Student visa subject to availability. California Airways also offers FAA computerized testing and FAA-approved flight simulators that can significantly reduce the cost of flight training.

For renter pilots, a diverse fleet of well-maintained aircraft is available for use. Moreover, California Airways offers unique special events where each participant gets to sit in the cockpit of an actual aircraft, land on an aircraft carrier in our flight simulator, and do much more.

Ms. Amaro will present an overview of the company's aviation legacy and services in Hayward.
