The American economy in 2025 will be a presentation given to the Hayward Rotary Club at its luncheon meeting Jan. 27 by Filippo Rebessi, chair of the Department of Economics at California State University, East Bay. The club meets at noon at 1074 B St. His presentation was rescheduled from Jan. 13.
Professor Rebessi has spoken before the club the last two Januarys and has given an insightful analysis of the country's economic condition and potential future direction.
He earned his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in economics from the Universita' di Parma in Italy, and also master's and doctoral degrees in economics from the University of Minnesota. He specializes at Cal State East Bay in teaching macroeconomics for business, global economic analysis, and monetary theory.
