Habitat for Humanity

In the East Bay, Habitat for Humanity has built over 500 homes during the last 30 years, and is currently working on a 20-home development in Martinez, as well as a 30-home project in Fremont. Habitat has completed over 75 new homes in East Oakland and has done rehabilitation work on multiple homes in Hayward. Mr. Heller's presentation will explain how Habitat is able to offer homes for sale to lower income families in a way that makes them affordable, even in the Bay Area, and the role that volunteers play. He also will describe Habitat developments in the East Bay, past, present, and future, and answer questions.
