Rotarians Celebrate St. Rose Hospital

Hayward Rotarians will help celebrate the 63rd anniversary of St. Rose Hospital when they next meet Monday, Jan. 5 for lunch at 1074 B St.
St. Rose Hospital Foundation director Mike Cobb, also chair of the Hayward Rotary Club Foundation, will lead a presentation detailing contributions of St. Rose, Hayward's only hospital, over the years.
Although groundwork for the hospital was laid by the community in 1953, St. Rose officially opened in October, 1962, and today hosts 171 beds. It is a cardiac arrest receiving center in the emergency medical services system. Six Hayward Rotarians sit on the St. Rose Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.
