The Hayward Rotary Club Foundation, which is an essential backup to helping the organization achieve its mission, will give its annual report to the entire Hayward Rotary Club membership at its noon lunch meeting on Monday, Oct. 23 at the Hayward Masonic Hall.
The foundation is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization and its finances and operations are separate from those of the club. It is managed by an elected board of directors. It was incorporated 33 years ago, in October of 1990.
At this annual meeting, club members will elect new foundation directors with expiring terms. Annually, the foundation makes 3% of the undesignated June 30th balance of the Fund available for club board-approved projects.
The foundation has helped fund Hayward Rotary Club local projects such as the Silva Pediatric and Dental Clinic, Newman Park, Centennial Children's Park, The Dictionary Project, Field of Dreams and many other local and international endeavors.
