Rotary District Governor Jill Duerig will be the featured presenter at the Nov. 4 luncheon meeting of the Hayward Rotary Club at 1074 B St. 
 
District 5170 is a collection of 63 clubs that together form one of Rotary's strongest districts.  Clubs are located in Alameda, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties.
 
Jill Duerig is past president of the Livermore Rotary Club and is involved with numerous nonprofit organizations. An attorney, engineer  and certified water treatment plant engineer, her principal interest in Rotary philanthropy is provision of potable water, and she has been involved with water projects in Haiti and other countries.

The Hayward Rotary Club Board of Directors has determined that attendance at District Governor Duerig's presentation will qualify as meeting the blue badge requirement for attendance at a district event.

District Governor Duerig has agreed to participate in demonstrating how to cook an omelet, which will be part of the Nov. 4 meeting in preparation for the club's annual omelet brunch fund-raiser at Chabot College Nov. 10. Any club member who has not picked up their tickets should do so Nov. 4
