On Sept. 13, Hayward Rotarians will hear from Linda Renteria how during the pandemic her company carefully managed its safety issues while dealing with an all-time high demand for their products. She also will talk about one of the interesting lessons that Americans learned during that time: that salsa can be used for more than chip-dipping. The Casa Sanchez Foods website - - is full of recipes for using salsa in a variety of dishes.
The topic will be : “How Hayward’s Casa Sanchez Foods Survived the Pandemic and Taught America New Ways to use its Favorite Condiment.”
Our own Hayward Rotary Club chef, Ernesto of Tetos Catering, will be serving us a salsa-based dish using Casa Sanchez’ salsa and a recipe from Linda Renteria.
