On Monday, March 27, David Tucker, managing director of public affairs for Alaska Airlines in California, will address the future of the airline industry, post-COVID. His company is betting on an extraordinary comeback in air travel, spending a record amount on airplane purchases in 2022 and committing to more than $2 billion in infrastructure improvements at the airports it serves. Alaska has 1,200 flights nationally a day, nearly 100 between 12 California cities, including all three Bay Area international airports.

Many Hayward Rotarians will remember David as the former public relations director and Hayward liaison for Waste Management of Alameda County.
