"Right now we are in the midst of unprecedented times! While the present seems surreal, it's times like these that require the most effort from those committed to service. Hayward Rotary Club is proud to help support our community at this monumental time of need.  Rotarians' purpose is service, fellowship, diversity, integrity and leadership in the community.  We are happy to be able to help and hope that others will follow our lead and support these worthy causes."

For the past 8 years, volunteers from unincorporated Cherryland, Congregation Shir Ami in Castro Valley, and members and friends of Eden Church have been addressing the food insecurity needs of residents in the 94541 zip code.Since the COVID-19 Crisis unfurled, participation in the Comida have grown exponentially as other area food pantries have had to close their doors for various reasons.

On Wednesday, April 8, for example, Comida para Cherryland served 900 clients in 1 hour. Participation in Comida para Cherryland is expected to continue leapfrogging until the Shelter In Place Order is relinquished.

This is an excellent opportunity to double your contribution, so please consider making a donation today. Together we can!
