LIFE-CHANGING DECISIONS AFTER A NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE

Charles Mortimer, who speaks nationally on behalf of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, will be the featured speaker at the Hayward Rotary Club lunch at noon Monday, May 6.

His talk is entitled “Life-Changing Decisions After a Near-Death Experience.”

Mortimer will talk about his near-death experience from a drunk driver accident in the United Kingdom and how it changed his life. He is president of the Rotary Club of Castro Valley for 2018-2019 and a broker/owner for RE/MAX Key in Hayward. 

In his remarks Charles will describe what it took to overcome permanent injuries from a drunk driver accident, emigrate from the United Kingdom to the United States, and how his presentations for MADD have changed people’s lives.

His work for MADD includes speaking to convicted drunk and drug-influenced drivers. Judges can order these offenders to attend a victim impact panel as part of probation.
