Ronald P. Gerhard, chancellor of the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, will be the featured presenter when the Hayward Rotary Club meets for its luncheon Monday, June 3.  Gerhard's presentation is entitled: "Advancing Student Success and Workforce Development Through Regional Collaboration."

Founded in Hayward/San Leandro in 1961, the two-college district serves 29,000 students annually. The district continues to build back enrollment following the pandemic, but is in a financially solid position with sufficient reserves. In June 2016, Voters approved a $950 million facilities bond measure for the district by a 64% margin.

In April, Gerhard was awarded the Distinguished Administrator Award by the Association of California Community College Administrators.
