A leader of the Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group will be the featured speaker for the noon luncheon June 8 of the Hayward Rotary Club at 1074 B St. DeAnna Pursai is the Climate Action Council chair for the ESRAG unit of Rotary International that empowers, "members of the Rotary Family worldwide to take actions to sustain our environment particularly to stabilize our climate." The organization assists Rotary clubs in planning, implementing and evaluating service projects, building awareness, and inspiring action. These projects promote environmental sustainability, awareness of climate change, and actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to mitigate climate disruption. Purasi is director of development and community outreach for the College of Adaptive Arts at West Valley College in Saratoga, CA.
