Kevin Dowling, senior major gifts officer for Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley, will be the featured presenter on Monday, June 17 for the luncheon meeting of the Hayward Rotary Club. 
 
Habitat for Humanity has a significant presence in Hayward, and currently new homes are under construction on A Street. The organization offers programs in Hayward to make affordable home repairs and arranges reduced utility rates for low-income households. Habitat also administers Measure A1 Bond funds, for Hayward that  empowers low-income homeowners to remain safely in their homed with affordable, low-interest deferred payment loans to qualified homeowners. 
 
Dowling is a former development director for Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, development director for the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro, and served for 12 years on the Hayward City Council.
