Hayward Rotarians were on hand for the annual holiday party at the Sorensdale Center that featured games, lunch, dancing, and a visit with Santa. The Sorensdale Center is a facility and program of the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. The primary purpose of the program is to provide opportunities for people with an intellectual disability (developmental disabilities) to achieve greater independence. The center has been a focus of Hayward Rotary volunteerism and the club committed $50,000 toward construction of a sensory garden, expected to be developed in 2025.
