Whether texting, calling, emailing, using social media or just browsing the internet, vigilance is required to protect against identity theft. At the June 2 lunch meeting of the Hayward Rotary Club, Hayward Police Department investigators will discuss the ways criminals steal identity information and how to protect against it.
At an earlier meeting of the Hayward Rotary Club, when asked who had been a victim of identity theft most of those in attendance raised their hands.
