Hayward Mayor Mark Salinas will give a State of the City address on Monday, July 29 as the featured presenter during a meeting of the Hayward Rotary Club. The mayor is a Hayward Rotarian. The lunch meeting will start promptly at noon at the Masonic Hall at 1074 B St. so that members will have time to finish eating, attend a short business meeting, and cross the street to where the address will be held at 1 p.m. in an auditorium at the downtown Century Theaters.
The theater complex is part of a section of businesses at the southwest corner of B Street and Foothill Boulevard that was bought back by the city earlier this year for $8.5 million.
Rotarians must wear their lapel pins for entry to the theaters.
