Diane Curry, director of the Hayward Area Historical Society, will be the featured presenter when the Hayward Rotary Club meets for lunch on Monday, Oct. 5 at 1074 B St.
This is the time of year when the HAHS is busy observing the community's cultural fascination with Dia de los Muertos. It will host a pop-up gift shop on Saturday, Oct. 10; a Family Fun Saturday on Oct. 17, featuring local artists; and Monsters and Marigolds with trick or treating on Saturday, Oct. 31.
And experienced paranormal investigators will lead guests on a nighttime tour of the Meek Mansion on the evenings of Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7 and 8.
